In the POR Puglia Region N. UT9TVP4 Base Protection has held the role of project leader with partners such as CETMA, CIMAS and SYNESIS.

The POR launched in November 2009 had a duration of 18 months and a budget of € 708.600 for the design, development, and manufacture of a light and comfortable professional shoe.

The project took shape by passing through various study phases. The subject of preliminary attention was the posture and the way of walking. In a second phase, innovative components were studied and then created for the new shoe. Finally, a study of innovative materials and process technologies was carried out to be put into practice with the use of nanotechnologies.
